Wall Hanger

My first attempt at a home made 2 into 1 exhaust pipe. I'm planning on running a different exhaust so this one is going up on my wall for sentimental value.

CV Carb

A little carb cleaner and this thing will be good as new. Easy to work on. Easy to tune. What's not to like about the CV Carb? If you've got one you don't want send it to me, I'll be glad to take it off your hands.

Piece of Cake

I needed to disassemble the forks so I can have the fender mounts shaved off from the fork lowers. Boy, it needed it. New seal kit and fork oil required. Contrary to what I've read on other forums, it was a piece of cake disassembling the forks. All you need is a good vise with soft jaws,
a freind that knows, basic hand tools, and your done. Of course a service manual would have worked in place of a freind but what fun is that? Now to get the lowers shipped for a shave!

Brandon's Sporty

Took the family to my bro Brandon's house for his youngest son's birthday party and to watch the Chargers play. I snapped a couple pics of his bike an 02' XL. Nice subtle changes for a cool looking swing arm Sporty. 1200cc's. Scary fast.

Big Oscar's Shovel

Was over at Oscar's garage using his tools to pull my 39mm Showa forks apart for some leg shaving and seal replacement. I shot this pic of his new Shovel project. Foot clutch, Jockey shift, its a bitchin bike. The paint on the tins are outrageous.

Fredo's Shovel Dbl 16's

A cool Shovelhead built by Fredo in San Diego, CA. Lots of hand built parts and built to ride!

Jerry Branch on 883 to 1200cc conversion

I found this neat little tidbit of knowledge on http://www.hdtalking.com/. This is for the Sporty rider with not a whole lot of money that wants to bump up his 883 motor. Advice from Jerry Branch of Branch Heads fame.

ONE LATE NIGHT TALK WITH JERRY BRANCH OF BRANCH HEADS....one late evening i made a phone call to a calif. shop... THINKING to leave MY return number ,,, was quite surprised that someone answered the phone..JERRY BRANCH was the answer..I told him what I had started to do with my 1995 883..wanting LOW end power and the best way to get it...I had already BOT wiseco 1200 cc pistons at 10.5/1 ratio HE SAID I couldn't use HIS heads with those pistons but since I was on a LOW budget and doing MY own work:::::HE suggested" " " " " " " "BUY new HD 1200 barrels using the wiseco pistons at 10.5/1use the stock 883 heads (give them a lap job)modify the carb with proper jets (.180 )??? and use a older model ?1200 sport needle..Use a good pair of slip-ons (scrm'n eagle)slap it together..... break it in @ 500 miles"THEN go find a POLE and climb it"--- call me back tell me what you thinkI then asked HIM what cams to use??HE SHOUTED his reply "there you guys go again ,,, wanting LOW-END power and torque ,,, then caming it all away...I followed his advice (other than the pole) REALLY HAD A HOT 1200 CC BIKE...
