Tank filler welded up

I relocated the filler on my sporty tank and had my freind Jimmy weld it up for me.

Our new family member!

This is Milo. He's an American Pit Bull Terrier registered with the American Dog Breeder's Association. He's only 4 weeks old in this pic. Great temperment, kids love him, very smart, and laid back. He's going to be a great pet and home guardian!

Gas Tank Progress

I removed the Triumph style filler neck from its stock location on my gas tank by filing down the weld on the inside of the filler. This left me with a clean hole to patch. I used Fredo's drill press and hole saw to cut a new hole at the top of the tank, Frisco style. I just need to cut out a new patch from sheet metal, weld that in and weld in the filler in its new location. I also need to relocate the petcock to the rear of the tank. I'll post pics when its all welded up.

Gas tank prep

I have a raggedy old Sporty tank knockoff made in Japan. Its actually a decent tank that needs a little love. I started sanding off the old paint so I can get the filler moved forward and the petcock bung moved to the rear Frisco style. Stay tuned.
