I needed to remove the old brake disc so I can get my wheel powdercoated. The previous owner that ran the wheel used red locktite. I used my trusty Mig welder and welded a bolt to the first bolt in the disc. The heat and bolt did the trick. Once I got the first bolt out, I welded them in a sort of daisy chain. Now I can powdercoat the wheel!

Welding

Got my MIG welder running and jumped back on my Sporty build. I think I'm going to call this bike SLO-MO, slow like molasses! I have to get my fender mounted next, build a sissy bar, weld in bungs for my gas tank, and mounts for my oil tank and the frame should be ready for powdercoating!

Framework

Just need to take an inch out of the bottom tubes, bolt in the lower engine mount jig, line things up, tack, check alignment, and final weld. Most important and what I'm after here is getting the stock motor mounts back in alignment.

Frame work

Picked up this stock rear frame half and the evo sporty motor mount jig from the QCB swap board. The tubes are cut and prepped. Just waiting on some slugs then I'm going to chop off the old hard tail and weld this stock frame half back on.
