Hand Polishing

My pushrod covers showed some road grime and exposure to the elements. This is what I started with. I used a little PB Blaster and aluminum foil then some Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish and 100% cotton tee shirts I had laying around.

The next pic are the hand polished tubes! Not bad if I do say so myself. They look almost brand new! This is kind of fun even though it takes a little work. The satisfaction you get from doing your own work is priceless! Next on the list are my triple trees.

Engine Stand

I'm trying to make my life a little easier. I bought one of these today for my motor. Thanks Jeremy!

883 to 1200

I've always wanted to upgrade my 883 to 74 inches! I started the teardown and it wasn't bad at all. Luckily I used to turn wrenches when I was in the U.S. Navy. The cylinders look great, the bottom end it tight. Going to take the 883 jugs and Wiseco pistons to Badlands next payday and get 'er bored and fitted. A little cleaning and I should have it all back together properly torqued once I get the jugs and pistons back. The only thing that sucked was working on the ground! I need to get off my lazy ass and build a work bench!

Parts

What would you do without generous freinds? You'd be broke, that's what! Slighltly used Wiseco dished 1200 pistons from my friend and fellow QCB forum member Jonny in Murrieta, CA.. They're in super shape, no nicks or gouges with just a few thousand miles on them. Jonny pulled them after he decided to upgrade his his stock 883 heads to Screaming Eagle heads and bigger cams.

My 39mm Showa fork lowers with the fender bosses shaved off by my freind Jimmy in Encanto, holmes. Going to send these out to a bad ass polisher in Santee who happens to be my freind Big Oscar's cousin whose name is Oscar tambien. I'm going to have my primary cover, cam cover, and triple trees polished as well. I can't wait!

Leg Shaving

My freind Jimmy (The Spares blog) shaving my showa fork lowers for my Sporty on his new lathe. Actually the lathe is an old machine that works perfectly. Thanks Jimmy!

Free Parts

My bro Brandon switched to mid controls on his Evo Sporty. I'm keeping my mids but going to a foot clutch and jockey shift. I stopped over to shoot the shit and he gave me the forward control foot shifter off his bike. Now to get one of my buddies with a lathe to machine a perch for my new foot clutch lever!

Bandit Integral Helmet

I really like the comfort and security of a full face helmet. Looks like I've found my new helmet!

JP Cycles

I needed a new throttle assembly and ordered a cheap one from JP Cycles until 70 Moto comes out with their new throttle assembly this summer. They threw in this mag for shits and giggles I guess.
