Subtle, tasteful, but highly modified changes to Sportster make this one of my favorite swing arm bikes. The Japanese have a great eye for choppers and custom motorcycles.
Gas tank with cracked rear mount is off, seat with a crack near one of the seat spring bolts is off, rear fender and fender struts off. Its getting there.
From the Jockey Journal. Tank Wilson's Sporty makeover. Showing that attention to detail can turn a stock swingarm Sportster into a cool chopper. Tastefully done.
I picked up a set of HD mags from my amigo Fredo. 19" front and 16" rear. The stock 21" spoked wheel is coming off and so is the solid Fatboy rear wheel that HD put on their "custom" Sportys.
For the makeover I need to do something with this seat. I'm thinking I just need to strip it down, add a little heat, and give it an lift towards the rear end. New cover and foam, the name Duane Ballard customs keeps popping into my dome...but I'm not that close yet.
