Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. You can never predict when trouble will come a calling, .40 cal manstoppers. Get the proper training, the proper permits, and know the law. Remember basic gun handling safety, never ever point a gun loaded or unloaded at anything you do not want to destroy. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
