Reworked my old cam cover and decided to polish it so it matches my primary and rocker covers. Its alot of work as I've already mentioned. 80 grit to knock down and big scratches and nicks in the aluminum, 120 grit to knock down the swirls left by the 80 grit, 220 directional wet sanding, 400, 600, then 1000 grit to get a smooth finish. Then a couple of cotton tee shirts and Mother's Polish. Voila, polished cam cover!
